Technical search agency · Durban, South Africa
Search visibility,
engineered.
We are a small studio in Umhlanga that treats organic search as infrastructure. Server logs before slide decks. Forecasts with confidence intervals. One channel, understood properly.
What we do
Six disciplines. One channel.
Each of these is a specialism in its own right. We run them as a single programme because in practice they fail as a single programme too.
Technical SEO
Log-file analysis, render-path auditing, index bloat control and Core Web Vitals engineering — the substrate everything else sits on.
Content Strategy
Entity mapping, intent modelling and editorial systems that compound — briefs your writers can use and your subject experts respect.
Local & Multi-Location
Business Profile engineering, location architecture and citation hygiene for brands that sell in a place, not just online.
Measurement & Analytics
GA4 and Search Console modelling, server-side tagging, incrementality testing and reporting that separates SEO from everything else.
Digital PR & Authority
Data-led stories, expert commentary and relationships with South African newsrooms — no directories, no private blog networks.
Migrations & Replatforming
Pre-launch modelling, redirect engineering and a launch-day war room for replatforms, rebrands and domain consolidations.
The work, made visible
Instruments, not impressions.
Every engagement runs against numbers you can inspect yourself. These are the three views we build first.
Thin coverage, no structured data, 4.1s to largest contentful paint on 3G.
Entity-complete, server-rendered, marked up, internally linked, and 0.9s to first contentful paint.
Holding a position no publisher defends. The one we take first.
Indicative targets from a live retail engagement. Measured at the 75th percentile of real South African mobile traffic, not in a lab.
| Query | Position | Clicks / mo |
|---|---|---|
| solar installer durban | 14 → 2 | +1,900 |
| commercial law firm sandton | 31 → 4 | +880 |
| medical aid rates 2026 | — → 6 | +12,400 |
| deck builders umhlanga | 9 → 1 | +640 |
Composite of anonymised client movement. Individual results vary with market, domain history and implementation speed.

How we work
A programme in four phases.
Diagnose
Four weeks in the logs, the codebase and the data layer. We establish what is true before anyone proposes a fix.
Model
Opportunity is sized and sequenced. You see the forecast, the assumptions behind it and what happens if we are wrong.
Ship
We work inside your sprints — tickets, code review, QA. Where you have no engineering capacity, ours implements directly.
Compound
Monthly review against the model, quarterly re-forecast. The programme narrows toward what is measurably working.
They arrived with server logs, not a slide deck. Six weeks later our engineers were arguing about crawl budget in stand-up. That is the change.
Evidence first
We start in the logs
Every engagement opens with your own data — server logs, Search Console, the codebase. Opinions come later, and only when the evidence runs out.
Legible work
No black boxes
You get the reasoning, the query, the spreadsheet and the ticket. If we cannot explain a recommendation to your engineering lead, it is not ready.
Narrow focus
Organic search only
No paid media, no social retainers, no brand workshops. One channel, understood properly, is worth more than five understood partially.
Long horizons
Built to compound
We optimise for where you will be in three years. That occasionally means recommending you do less this quarter than you had budgeted for.
Questions
Answered before you ask.
Technical fixes can move within four to eight weeks — indexation and Core Web Vitals respond quickly. Content and authority compound over six to eighteen months. We forecast both separately at the start so nobody is surprised in month three, and we tell you which category any given recommendation falls into.
Whichever suits you. Most engagements run through your existing sprint process: we write tickets, review pull requests and QA the deploy. Where clients have no in-house capacity, our engineers implement directly against a staging environment. We do not require a platform change to work with you.
Diagnostic audits start at R85,000 and run four to six weeks. Retained programmes typically sit between R45,000 and R160,000 a month depending on scope, site scale and how much implementation we carry. We publish the range because filtering early is better for both of us.
We are based in Umhlanga and work across South Africa, with clients in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Gqeberha, as well as engagements in Kenya, Nigeria and the UK. Diagnostic work is remote by default; we travel for kick-off, quarterly reviews and migration windows.
No, and any agency that does is either misunderstanding the system or misrepresenting it. We forecast ranges with stated confidence intervals and the assumptions behind them. If a forecast turns out wrong, we say so at the next review and explain what we got wrong.
Next step
Start with the evidence.
A four-week diagnostic tells you what is actually limiting organic performance — before anyone signs a retainer.
